Growing up, I used to obsess over the character art in each of the small booklets that came with the NES games. I was 6 or 7 yrs old at the time and the 4th and 5th games of the series were my obsession since I did not own an SNES at the time. So when I heard this book came out I debated paying the high price for it; Shrugging it off for years. Finally saw it for as low as $40 (or more) on amazon and caved in. I am 31 now and The moment I flipped to the first page I was 6 years old again gasping at the art. Except now, the art is blow up and I can see all the details. A large improvement over the index card-sized thumbnail images I drooled over before. The pros of this book are not the art. It's the little blue paragraphs on each page that detail information about what was going on at Capcom at the time each game was made. Sometimes they talk about development, other times they give bits of information pertaining to a specific robot master. At the end is a full detailed interview with the creators themselves. Ever wondered, like me, why some of these games have gimmick or comical robot masters? (looking at you WOODMAN) This book has the answers straight from the horse's mouth.Cons? there's no more mega man.
