I have to say that I have a great fondness for the imaginary creations that Wayne Thiebaud concocts in his cityscape/landscape paintings. The paintings are of cities that have incredibly steep hills, & streets. These images have a great imaginary quality, and unbelievable modernity in composition & color. Thiebaud has stuck to his rich creamy colors and textured brushstrokes, but here he transforms the landscape to a dreamlike perspective. The book is small and on the thin side, but it is only landscape works and many which I have yet to ever see printed again. If you are a big fan, buy it,..if you are a little fan, skip it.
